Busteed and Harmon earned $11,100 for winning the MWC side of the event, $7,500 for winning the chamber tournament and $3,660 in gifts and prizes for a total of $22,260.Its wonderful just to fish with these teams, so coming out on top is awesome, Busteed said before a large crowd at scenic Grahams Island State Park. Garcia won three matches en route to the title, including a 21-7, 21-18 win over top-seeded William Cervantes of Albuquerque, N.M., in the semifinals and second-seeded Joe Berman of Columbia, Md., 21-17, 21-15 in the final. The Extravaganza BBQUE and Babolat Demo Day, a tennis clinic and party, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rolland Moore Racquet Center, 2201 S. Shields St.
Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend. There will be drills and games, instructional tips, demonstrations of the new Babolat line of racquets, a barbecue and more.
