Around 3:10 p.m. May 27, a 37-year-old woman from Washington Township received a call from her real estate agent, who found a broken window at a home on 25 Mile Road. When the woman arrived at the home, she noticed a patio chair pushed up to the back window, where the glass had been broken out. She told investigators there were still jagged pieces of glass along the bottom portion of the window. Nothing appeared disturbed inside the home and while the cover to the crawl space was off, it did not appear that anyone had been under the home recently. A 30-year-old man residing on Lakepoint Court, south of 21 Mile Road and east of M-53, told investigators the horn alarm on his 2005 Nissan Altima went off around 2:30 a.m. May 30. When the man looked out the window to investigate, he did not see anyone around so he went outside and noticed his vehicle's interior dome light was on. After opening the driver's side door, he observed his satellite radio system on the front passenger floorboard area. A bag was also missing from the rear of the vehicle, he said. There was no apparent damage to the vehicle. Patio furniture and a grill were stolen between 8 a.m. May 27 and 3 p.m. May 28 from the back yard of a 33-year-old woman residing on White Oak, north of Hall Road and east of Schoenherr Road. The woman told investigators she noticed the property was missing when she was working in the yard. She then spoke to her neighbor, who noticed that the property was not on the deck the previous afternoon. A 39-year-old woman from Ira Township reported parking her 1999 Ford Windstar around 1:45 p.m. May 30 in the lot outside CVS, 50840 Shelby Road. She told investigators she left in another vehicle and went to a nearby park. When she returned around 6:20 p.m., she noticed the top right corner of her license plate - where the 2012 green tab from the Secretary of State was - had been cut off. Investigators believe the plate had been cut with tin-snips. Between noon May 28 and 8:40 a.m. May 30, someone stole a copper fitting that was attached to a water line serving a building on Commercial Drive, north of 22 Mile Road and west of Hayes Road. Investigators saw that the pipe extending from the building connecting to the water line had been cut and appeared to be missing the copper fitting that had been reported stolen. Nothing else appeared to be missing or damaged. At approximately 11:23 a.m.

1999 Dodge Intrepid - Cylinder Misfire - Engine Troubleshooting

I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid 2.7L with 213,000 miles. Engine codes say P0300,P0302,P0304 - Random misfire, Cylinders 2 & 4 misfiring. Since this happened, my mileage is AWFUL, about half of what it used to be. My check engine light constantly flashes, then dings and goes solid, then starts flashing again. The engine runs rough and takes a while to turn over and sometimes kills when parking or when first pulling out of a parking spot.

Here is what I've done:
Replaced spark plugs
Replaced map sensor
Replaced coil packs
Replaced hose coming out of engine that had a crack in it
Tested pressure/vacuum in each cylinder, tested normal

Any ideas? My last resort is to bring it into a shop because I don't have the money right now, but eventually I might have to. Would rather do it myself!

With HT on this one. To diagnose this properly would require professional scan tools. Yes, I know its going to cost some money to have a pro look at this. However, there is a reason for this. A year ago I upgraded my scan tool to a model that can keep up with late model cars. It cost me $4000. Within 6 years (I hope that long) it may become obsolete and I will be out even more money to keep on top of technology that the car companies develop. It costs mechanics to continue to be trained on the latest things the manufacturers are coming out with and the way that it needs to be worked with the prevent costly damage. Most experienced techs own a toolset ranging in cost from $40,000-$100,000+. We work with this every day and know what to look for. While an upfront cost for a pro to diagnose this may seem too much, call your local parts house and see what that list of parts you mentioned costs. There are a lot of people literally throwing parts at their cars and still not fixing the problem. They spend hundreds in parts versus spending much less to have it looked at with a knowing eye and tools you would need to refinance your home to have. All of us that are regulars here currently do or have done this as a living. We are always willing to help with our advice that is normally billed at our shops and make absolutely nothing if you fix it yourself or go to a shop. What we want is to see your car back on the road at the least possible expense. In this case, its time to have a pro look at it.
